Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park is a book that I adore, so in the summer of 2026 I spent my time designing stage costumes based on the beloved novel. I picked 13 of the main and supporting characters and designed one look for each of them. My research involved annotating the novel, looking through an array of late 80’s hiking and sports clothing catalogues, pictures of the dig sites that inspired the author, and finding inspiration from celebrities and pop-culture of the time. Someday I hope to create designs for more of the novel and even the sequel book!
